Early Childhood Development and Education

The first five years are the most important time of a child's life. Early Childhood Development (ECD) is therefore a priority in our programming. We focus on the early learning of children of the 3-5 year age group. Improving their learning opportunities by training ECD teachers and setting up and help sustain ECD centres with the participation of communities. We emphasize and encourage the inclusion of differently able children in early learning activities. Our ECD work continues even during disasters and emergencies.
